Purpose & Scope:

• We are looking for a General manager (m/f/d) of a Business Club project which is situated in an outstanding national heritage building complex. It will connect the history with modern technology and become a meeting and event point for high profile blockchain specialists, entrepreneurs and other fascinating related groups.
• This exclusive opportunity needs a person with experience in the building and administration of a quality service institution like a business club or hotel while also having a hands on mentality, as the project is just starting.
• As we are still in startup phase, your first task will be building the administration, setting up processes, coordinating the team, creating the structures for the organization, working with heritage and overseeing the construction/renovation work (which we have leadership for). You will be a pioneer here, laying the foundations for the success of the project.
• Later, expect to run the business club, accommodation, coordinate events and tourism on a property of outstanding significance and representing the project to the public.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Take overall responsibility for the coordination of the ramping up of the project, leading. operations and report /interact with Investors Management.
• Build up and lead processes and administration.
• Recruit, supervise and motivate staff.
• Plan, control, report, budget and audit the operations of the innovative project.
• Contribute to the project concept/further development and marketing.
• Build up and run the Business Club, Events and Tourism.
• Ensure full compliance to the historical building policies.
• Have vision and creativity to implement the overall design style of the historical building.
• Be responsible for growing membership sales and provide value-added services in members’ relationship.
• Deal with and handle complaints, oversee the service recovery procedures.
• Manage on-going profitability, ensure revenue and member satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
• Be in charge of legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other German legal requirements.

What it takes to catch our eye:

• Solid experience in the hospitality industry as a general manager in Germany.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Positive and entrepreneurial way of bringing a project forward.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German are necessary.
• Good understanding of German rules and regulations necessary due to administration in cooperation with German governmental institutions.
• Thrive in an ambiguous, start-up work environment.
• Knowledge or passion for blockchain technologies and specifically Bitcoin and crypto is a must.

Availability: Immediately. Employment type: Employee, full-time. Location: 50 % of the estimated work time is on-site near Leipzig district, Germany (1 hour drive from Leipzig, 2 hours from Berlin) / rest – remote.
